Our opening show of 2022 saw us award two sponsored tickets to the GBO European Championships in Italy.
AMATUER SHOW
Daniel Jay Smith stole the show in the Amateur Bodybuilding section winning the U95kg Bodybuilding class where he was pushed to his limits by 2nd place Tim Jones. Daniel was also awarded his GBO PRO status.
Nader took the U85kg title and Johnny Reid took the O105kg title – both being awarded GBO PRO status. Jeff Williams became the first ever Masters Bodybuilding winner, also awarded GBO PRO status.
The Classic division saw Leo Pearce storm the class and take the win with a fantastic routine showing flawless posing.
Josh Digby did the double winning the Beginners and Open Short Beach class with Nick Duffy returning to the NFMUK stage (he was part of our first ever show in 2017) where he took the Open Tall Beach title. All were awarded GBO PRO status along with Junior winner Ieuan.
The Women’s division saw Cassandra Batty take the Figure title and Sian Hall win the Shape title – both awarded PRO status.
Zoe Lummis and Jekaterina Siplivaja both won their respected Open Beach classes earning PRO status.
PRO SHOW
Leon Pearce took the PRO Classic win qualifying for the Overalls as did Nick Duffy and Stephen Emuobonuvie win their respected PRO classes.
The toughest PRO class of the day came in the PRO Bodybuilding division where Daniel Jay Smith saw off challenges from the Amateur Bodybuilding class winners.
Jekaterina Siplivaja, Cassandra Batty and Sian Hall all won their PRO classes joining Kelsey Bartlett who won the PRO Beach class beating off 2nd place Sara Trojanowska.
PRO OVERALLS
In the Men’s class, this was a showdown between Daniel Jay Smith and Leon Pearce with Daniel taking the win and the ticket to the GBO European Championships. Kelsey Bartlett was the standout in the Women’s Overall joining Daniel in Italy.
